Looking for a family doctor in Niagara Falls who is accepting new patients? At our Niagara Falls walk-in clinic, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care that supports your long-term health and wellness.
Our clinic offers many additional services to support the ongoing healthcare needs of our patients.
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, often requires ongoing monitoring and follow-up. At MedCare Clinics @ Portage Road Medical Centre, our Hypertension Clinic provides assessment and ongoing care for adults with elevated or diagnosed blood pressure. Our internal medicine provider can review your blood pressure readings, medical history, and current medications to help guide next steps in your care.
Contact MedCare Clinics @ Portage Road Medical Centre to ask about provider availability and referral requirements. If you monitor your blood pressure at home, bring your readings and a list of your medications to your appointment.
Please note that lab hours may vary and may differ from clinic hours. Lab hours are scheduled around specimen pickup times established by our laboratory service provider, so availability may vary by location and day. We recommend calling ahead to confirm current lab availability before your visit. Lab services may end before the clinic closes, and hours may change without prior notice.
Some tests require samples to be collected, processed, spun, or prepared for scheduled laboratory pickup. If you arrive near the end of lab hours, there may not be enough time to complete these steps, and your test may need to be rescheduled.
Please bring a valid lab requisition. If you do not have one, you will need to see a healthcare provider for an assessment and requisition first. A blood draw may not be possible near the end of lab hours or during the same visit.
Clinic and lab hours may differ on statutory holidays. To help ensure the safety of staff, patients, and their families, MedCare Clinics may close when severe weather or unsafe road conditions are expected. We may also stop accepting patients before closing time if we have reached capacity.
If you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath or a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest hospital.
